Decades after leaving the entertainment world to become an Orthodox Rabi, Uri Zohar, one of the founders of Israeli cinema, is once again directing a film. Enlisting the help of a young film studies graduate, Zohar tells the story of a successful dancer discovering her faith who, much like Zohar’s own personal story, finds herself torn between two opposing worlds – religion and art.

This film follows Zohar through all stages of production, but centers around a rare and telling conversation that takes place on the road from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, where Zohar shares his story for the first time. The milestones in his life are accompanied by shots from his films, where there is almost always one protagonist – usually played by Zohar himself – who battles his inner demons.
